Today after having a conversation with someone I decided to write quickly few lines about coaching in general.

Many people confuse coaching with therapy and think that there should be some mental health issue to see a coach. Coaching isn’t therapy or to work on mental illnesses, for that there are therapists and Psychologists who deal with mental health issues.

Coaching to me is to help us grow as an individual and to reach our potentials to achieve our goals in life. A coach is a professional with different tools and techniques to ask the questions in a specific way to help people find the answers for themselves to take the decisions which then leads to resolving inner conflicts and also help to let go those beliefs which were stopping them by using different techniques. A good coach has the ability to listen others.

Coaching is future oriented, we only go backwards in the past when it comes to have a look on the beliefs which stops someone to grow, or achieve certain goals. A professional coach helps the coachee to develop an action plan, a strategy and stick to that in order to achieve their goals.
